Coorparoo Queenslander Restoration
McAuliffe Painting has been restoring and repainting Queenslander Homes for many years now and that’s why it has become one of our Specialties.
That’s why you can trust us to restore your home to glory and grandeur. We completed this project in July 2010 and below is a look at how we go about the process and the project consisted of the following:
- Containment of dust and and debris using tarps and enclosures
- Full removal (sanding) of failing paint from the the front and two sides of the home
- Complete repaint of sanded sections of home
- Restoration of casement windows which had been removed by the owner and later re-installed
Here is the Finish we achieved at this Coorparoo Home.
Before we arrived at this Great Finish we had to completely remove the cracking, peeling and flaking Coating by sanding the weatherboards.
We enclosed the working area with tarps and used other dust-minimization techniques and this was much appreciated by the residents taking there kids to school across the street. Here are pictures of the front and sides of the house after paint removal.
The owner had a special request for us to restore the original casement windows and we were happy to oblige because we enjoy working on these character Queenslander Homes.
The restoration and repainting of this beautiful Queenslander went quite smoothly and we were able to accommodate the owner’s requests for the restoration of the sash windows, which in the end left the house looking fantastic.
